  • Time is almost up…

I don’t think it really matters where you are from, where you live, how old or young you are, you have to be aware of the world around you, and how unsettling it has become. The news these days is filled with content that alarms and enrages. There are questions of right and wrong. People are being offended, or offending, and no one seems to care. Things today are not happening in a vaccum.

We really are in need of leadership today. I’m not talking about the kind of leadership that forces people to obey. I don’t believe that is really leadership. The bible talks about the role pastors should play, and it does so in careful terms. Hebrews 13:7 says “Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God, whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.” The word translated as “rule” in this passage is a word that means to guide. It should be noted, it does not mean to dominate, or to command by force, or to rule in a coercive or political sense. Too much “leadership” today is characterized by what it should not be.

Instead, it is my hope to provide a commentary on things happening in the world today, with an eye toward seeing the spiritual side of things. Many people today consider themselves to be Christian, but the word has been watered down over time. It is time for those of us who love Jesus Christ to start acting, and doing, that which is pleasing in His site. Some of my posts will be full on gospel messages, pushing people in their relationship with Christ. Others will be small tidbits on what the Apostles might think about certain things today. Overall, I hope to use what is happening in our world to encourage people to draw closer to Christ, as His day approaches.

    Lord Bless!
